RFID and NFC Event Registration.

With RFID or NFC, guests enter with a card or wristband, without taking out a phone or stopping at a desk. It earns its place at multi-day events, in restricted areas, and for guests who must not queue.

RFID Event Registration

Where RFID and NFC Earn Their Place.

  • Multi-day events

One card or wristband for every day, so guests don't show a QR each morning.

  • Access by area

The same card opens only the areas its holder is entitled to, such as a VIP room, backstage or the press room.

  • Guests who must not queue

VIP and protocol lanes where guests simply walk through the access point.

  • Per-session attendance

Entry to and exit from session rooms is logged automatically, useful for certificates and sponsor reports.

  • Minimal data on the card

The card holds only a code that points to the guest's record in the system. A lost card can be switched off and replaced on the spot.

  • Alongside QR

RFID and NFC can run with QR at the same event, with attendance still in one record.

Options

RFID, NFC, or Just QR?

RFID and NFC both use cards or wristbands. The difference is how they are read, and sometimes QR is all you need.

  • 01

    RFID

Read at a distance, without being held to a scanner. Guests walk through the access point. Suits large main entrances and VIP lanes.

  • 02

    NFC

Tapped briefly on a reader. Simpler and more controlled, suited to area access and daily check-in.

  • 03

    Just QR

For a one-day event with no restricted areas, QR is usually enough and costs less.

Common Questions

About RFID Event Registration.

What is the difference between RFID and NFC?

NFC is short-range RFID: the card has to touch the reader. Long-range RFID is read as the guest walks past the access point. The choice depends on whether guests may pause briefly or must not stop at all.

What if a card or wristband is lost?

The old card is switched off in the system and the guest gets a new one after their ID is checked. The lost card is useless to anyone else.

Does RFID suit a small event?

It can, when the arrival experience is the priority, such as a private event with a short guest list. For a one-day event without restricted areas, QR usually makes more sense.

Can the cards and wristbands carry the event design?

Yes. Cards and wristbands are printed with the event design, just like a regular badge.
